This week , students will be exploring the Eukaryotic Cells: The Inside Story. Each day , we will take a part or parts of the cell and understand its function within the cell.
Monday
Today, we will have an overview of all the organelles within the Eukayotic Cell and specifically focus on the cell membrane (for which we had a demonstration in class last Wednesday) and the nucleus. We’ll begin a project that will continue throughout the week and culminate in a grade by Friday.
Tuesday
Today we will talk about the cells’ protein factories and the cells’ delivery system.
Wednesday
The Cells’ Power Plantswill be the focus of today’s lesson. We’ll explore the mitochondria and the chloroplast.
Thursday
Today, students will be given a closer look at the Cells’ packaging Center ( The Golgi complex)and the cells’ storage center ( vesicles) and vacuoles and we’ll talk about packages of destruction ( lysosomes). There will be a review today for the test on Friday.
Friday
Today, there will be a test on the functions of the organelles. Homework is due today, and the project that the students have been working on all week is due today.
